Difference Between Hydraulic Oil & Pneumatic Oil

Hydraulic oil and pneumatic (lubricating) oil are two different fluids for entirely different applications. It is important to understand these differences when selecting an oil to use. Choosing the wrong fluid could result in equipment failure or injury. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Hydraulic systems use a liquid, such as oil, under pressure to power cylinders, valves, motors and so on. Pneumatic systems use a gas, such as air, under pressure, to power cylinders, valves, motors, among other equipment. Hyrdaulic Oil Hydraulic oil, sometimes called hydraulic fluid, is used to transfer energy from one component to another in a hydraulic system. There are several types of oil that may be used in a hydraulic system depending on the individual application. Different oils have varying viscosity and compressibility. The machinery being used typically specifies which type of hydraulic oil is required. Pneumatic Oil Pneumatic oil, more frequently called lubricating oil, is used to lubri

What is a telescopic hydraulic cylinder?

Telescopic  hydraulic cylinders , sometimes called multi-stage cylinders, are a type of linear actuator consisting of a series of tubular rods called sleeves. The sleeves (usually four or five) sequentially decrease in diameter and are nested inside of each other. Once hydraulic pressure is introduced to the cylinder, the largest sleeve (called the main or barrel) is extended first. Once the  cylinder barrel  has reached its maximum stroke, the next sleeve, usually referred to as a stage, begins to extend. This process continues until the cylinder reaches its last stage, called the plunger. There are two different types of telescopic hydraulic cylinders—single-acting cylinders and double-acting cylinders. Single acting, by far the most common, work by using gravity or some other external force to retract the stages of the cylinder. As soon as pressure is released from the cylinder, the force of the load pushes oil out of the system and the cylinder retracts. While pneumatic telesc

What’s The Difference Between 42CrMo And 42CrMo4

42CrMo is a kind of medium-carbon alloy structural steel with good comprehensive performance and good hardenability. It is often used to manufacture gear, connecting rod, high strength bolt and other important parts in machining process. The engineers often saw a material of 42CrMo4 mentioned in the European standard drawings. Is it be alternative with 42CrMo? What are the differences between them and their characteristics? We hereby discuss in depth from the terms of chemical analysis, mechanical properties and hardenabilit to find out the conclusion. They come from different standards from different counties. 42crmo is the material in Chinese standard GB/T 3077, specification of alloy structural steel. The material of 42CrMo4 belong to EN 10083 series, hardened and tempered steel. Chemical composition difference. There are tiny difference in content of element Si shown in the figure below, the Si content in 42CrMo is small than that in EN10083. In addition, according to GB3077,

10 Common Applications for 4140 Steel

10 Common Applications for 4140 Steel SAE 4140 steel is widely used in many industrial fields for its strength and versatility, and therefore is important to know about if you are considering using it in your facility. Here is an outline of its key characteristics and most common applications. What is SAE 4140 Steel? SAE 4140 steel is a low-alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents. These give great corrosion resistance and strength up to around 600°.  These characteristics include high strength and good machinability that can easily be heat treated for increased hardness. 4140 Steel Composition Chromium, Cr 0.80 – 1.10 Manganese, Mn 0.75 – 1.0 Carbon, C 0.380 – 0.430 Silicon, Si 0.15 – 0.30 Molybdenum, Mo 0.15 – 0.25 Sulfur, S 0.040 Phosphorous, P 0.035 Iron, Fe Balance What are common 4140 Steel applications? Cylinder Barrel Chrome Rod Crankshafts Bolts/Nuts Gears Milling spindles Collars Hydraulic cylinder Steel conveyor and roll Fix

How to protect the inside surface of the honed tubes from damage during transportation?

Image
To protect the inner surface of the honed ID tubing, we will plug each tube with tube caps on each end, the tube caps usually are plastic in green or yellow. And for big ID honed tubes, we can weld a steel cap on each tube end to protect the ID surface on customers request. Anbao Hydraulic is a professional manufacturer in induction hardened piston rods with over 23 years experience, we also supply hard chrome bar , hollow chrome bar , honed tubes , skived and roller burnished tube ,any inquiry about these products ,Please contact us through below methods. Why does the hard chrome bar break?

Image
If there is no problem in design, processing and material, the pre-tightening force should not be too large during installation, otherwise the chrome bar will break when the maximum force reaches the yield limit. After long-term operation, due to the intermittent wear of the cylinder, the piston in the horizontal column will sink, so that additional load will be generated at the connecting thread, and then running, it is possible to break the chrome bar, which should be paid special attention during maintenance. In addition, the chrome bar may be broken when the chrome bar is subjected to a strong impact due to damage to other parts. In order to make the compressor operate normally and continuously, and to extend its service life, a regular maintenance and overhaul system should be implemented. The occurrence of compressor failure will have a great impact on the production of part or all of the unit, so it is essential for the daily maintenance of the compressor. In routine maintenanc
