The Important Cautions when installing large bore cylinder

 Large bore cylinders play a very prominent role in the industrial field like  Shipbuilding, offshore oil & gas engineering. Anbao Group as a top specialist in hydraulic cylinder production ,not only we could manufacture all kinds of custom hydraulic cylinder according to the drawing from our customers,but also we could make a design according to customer’s requirements,and with rich experience in how to install large bore cylinders, Here are a few things to note;

1. Clean large oil tanks and surrounding environment. The fuel tank should be well sealed, and the pipes and tank should be cleaned to prevent other iron pieces and debris. Special paper should be used when cleaning, and hemp rope and adhesive should not be used as sealing materials. Hydraulic oil should be designed as required, paying attention to the temperature and changes of the hydraulic oil;

2. When disassembling a large cylinder, it is strictly forbidden to damage the top thread of the cylinder rod, the thread of the cylinder mouth and the surface of the piston rod. It is strictly forbidden to use a hammer to hit the surface of the cylinder barrel and piston. If the surface of the cylinder bore and piston is damaged, it is not allowed to use sandpaper, but must be carefully polished with a fine oil stone;

3. Before installing the large bore cylinder into the system, compare the parameters on the cylinder label with the parameters when ordering;

4. The base of a large cylinder must be rigid enough, otherwise the cylinder will bend upward when under pressure and the piston rod will bend; the pipe connection must not be loose.

5. Install the hydraulic cylinder gland screws. The tightness should ensure that the piston can move flexibly throughout the entire stroke without getting stuck or having uneven weight. If the screw is too tight, it will increase resistance and accelerate wear; if it is too loose, it will leak oil; if it is too loose, it will leak oil.
